I just may do that, I have things rigged for a dark background right now and a pretty decent light, Perhaps in the morning I will shoot a set, It is going to be quite cold so good excuse to stay inside.
I love watching LOTR then playing skyrim...and I'm 33 years old lol. I love what you guys are doing on crimson daggers. I have been inspired by everyone's study methods and progression...especially at times when i beat myself down and think I'm too old and untalented to learn and improve you guys have given me ideas in how to move forward and prove that skill can be acquired through practicing the right way. If it weren't for everyone's improvement and motivational quotes I would've given in to self doubt and what my peers have said to me in the past.
I'm rubbish at technology. I have a friend who tells me that she skypes her dad in the states. She told me she would show me how to Skype so I can at least introduce myself to my sister in Hong Kong...if she's still interested anyway...I just keep forgetting to do it. I've been watching some of the crimson dagger stuff off YouTube but now discovered the links on Facebook and try to catch what I can. I suspected that you guys meet up online. I expect my job and time zone might be a problem with keeping my schedule reliable though. I'm kinda shy in person so I'm happy to learn from afar watching you guys stream/critique and link to tutorials anyway. I was kind of reluctant to post a photo of myself even if it is more than ten years old on my profile let alone filling in any of my details on there. I've really become a hermit these days and only spend my free time with my long term girlfriend...but I'm happier like that anyway.
The hands are beautiful, as is the composition. You have a real eye for these things. I feel that that the skin on his face is too reflective, and his hair is missing certain reflective qualities. What I'm trying to get at is - for me, the centre of the image is too flat. Feel free to discount everything I say.
You're absolutely right material wise. I took those choices because the package is quite small and it needs to be readable as a small image. And this was the right way. But up big, all these weird restrictiveness and non restrictiveness will be noticed
