Done for Sophisticated games: Lord of the Rings card game.

While making this card game reference was used of myself, my friends, or from people online with permission.
Paint time: 4 hours.

For people who've only seen the Lord of the rings movies, here comes a bit of backstory:

"Angbor was met by Aragorn when he arrived from the Paths of the Dead. He was in battle with the Corsairs of Umbar, when the Army of the Dead gave their aid. Angbor was the only man who had courage enough to meet with Aragorn, who instructed him to gather his men and ride to the aid of Minas Tirith. It was later mentioned that he and his men arrived at Minas Tirith during the time Aragorn and company left for the Black Gate. It was Aragorn that named Angbor "the Fearless".

I must say that this is the other image in your 'Tolkien' gallery that has impressed me the most Miss Helmigh; not only have you taken a fairly obscure character from the pages of 'Lord of the Rings' but you have given him a distinctive character all his own, a sort of 'Seen Worse, beaten Better' attitude that comes across strongly without being too overblown.

I also rather like the air of rugged civility I sense in the character depicted; a man who lives rough life but is still able to practice common decencies.

I'm absolutely love seeing you draw these LoTR characters.

You're doing such an awesome job bringing them to life with these paintings. C:

I certainly found first of The Hobbit trilogy to be quite close to the book itself. I had read the book and listened to the audiobooks many times over. It was so very well done.

yeah people ask em why they divided it in 3 movies, the main thing of course is the money :P but then again there is a lot that happens in the story so it can easily be put into 3 movies, this way they wont have to skip anything :)

I think the older lotr movies are darker and more serious, I think the hobbit pt2 and pt3 will be darker as well.
